About the dog
I don’t know who’s got a bigger reputation for friendliness – me or CJ Tack (named by our grandson).
This feisty little Jack Russell Terrier stole our hearts when he was just a wee five weeks old and has been our travel buddy and mascot ever since.
He’s great with the kids (although the young at heart enjoy his antics just as much) and loves playing with the Big Dogs.

I’m not much for having a bunch of rules that cramp my fun, but there are three that I stick to with my business:
- PRACTICAL – I only sell what I would use myself, which means it’s got to work right, be dependable, and last a whole lot longer than the fruit cake you got a few Decembers ago.
- QUALITY – I may as well hang a neon sign that says “no junk” because if it doesn’t look, smell, and feel like 100% quality, I’m not interested in selling it. Everything on this website or in the Circle J Tack trailer is Jim-certified, meaning I don’t sell it unless I would use it myself.
- AFFORDABLE – I consider every customer like a part of one big horse family, and I treat them that way. That means I care about the family budget. I do my down-home best to offer great tack that won’t break the piggy bank.
I might look like the other cowboys, but this one here ain’t afraid to help you out with some weathered wisdom and practical know-how.
